Keep Your Legionella Compliance History With You

With many contractor-led systems, compliance records are built around the life of the contract. When suppliers change, access can change too, leaving teams with archived records and a new system to set up.

LegionellaDossier gives your organisation its own central compliance platform. Risk assessments, tasks, records and responsibilities can remain in one place, while LCS, internal teams and future contractors work from the same ongoing record.

Your compliance history stays connected, even when the people delivering the work change.

See the Problem Then Track the Fix

A single result can tell you something is wrong. Continuous monitoring gives you the context to see when the change started, how the system has been performing and whether corrective work has solved the problem.

If a water system that normally operates within the expected range begins to change, Legionella Watch can identify it. The resulting activity can be managed through LegionellaDossier, while LCS investigates the issue and advises on the next action.

Once the issue is addressed, ongoing monitoring helps confirm whether the system has returned to normal.

The Partnership in Practice

Across five Blue Cross locations, LCS brings together Legionella consultancy, Legionella Watch remote monitoring and LegionellaDossier to create a more connected approach to water safety management.

Questions About the Partnership

  • What is the Legionella Watch and LegionellaDossier partnership?

LCS has integrated Legionella Watch IoT sensors directly with the LegionellaDossier platform. Temperature readings from your installed sensors feed automatically into your LD compliance records, removing manual data entry and giving you a single, continuous record of monitoring activity across all monitored outlets.

  • Who owns the data collected by the sensors?

You do. The data captured by Legionella Watch sensors belongs entirely to you as the client. LCS has no rights over it, and neither does Legionella Dossier. It sits within your LD account, under your control, and can be exported or accessed by whoever you authorise. We collect it on your behalf. We don't hold it.

  • Do I need to already be a LegionellaDossier user to install Legionella Watch sensors?

No. LCS can install and commission Legionella Watch sensors independently. However, if you are already using LegionellaDossier, the integration gives you significantly more value. Sensor readings flow directly into your existing compliance records without any manual input.

  • What does the integration actually replace?

Sensor probes are installed on key assets, sentinel points and hot water subordinate loops that would normally be tested manually. Instead of a single temperature reading collected at some point during a calendar month, these assets are continuously monitored remotely. This can provide early warning of hot water failures or missed flushing events, helping teams identify and investigate conditions that could increase Legionella risk sooner.

Critically, sensors also remove reliance on manual reporting. An infrequently used outlet that should have been flushed either was or it wasn't, and the data shows which. That removes the uncertainty that comes with any process dependent on people accurately recording work as done. It identifies shortfalls in flushing regimes, closes the gap between what was scheduled and what actually happened, and keeps you audit ready with real-time data.

  • Can Legionella Watch data integrate with our Building Management System?

Yes. LegionellaDossier supports API integration, which means the temperature and monitoring data your sensors generate can be pushed directly into your existing BMS. If you already use a BMS, you understand the value of centralised building data. This adds a layer you probably don't have yet. Water system behaviour, continuously monitored, feeding into the same system that manages everything else in the building.

  • We already have a flushing regime in place. Why would we need this?

A flushing regime records that an action took place. A sensor records whether the water system actually responded. Those are two different things. On most sites we monitor, outlet behaviour differs significantly from what a fixed schedule would predict. In some cases, outlets marked compliant were running outside safe temperature ranges between visits. The data doesn't replace your regime. It tells you whether it's working.
