Training Overview

We take the responsibility of raising awareness regarding the prevention and control of Legionella bacteria very seriously, ultimately it helps to save lives. One of the core services that we provide is Training. We do not train on a range of subjects, we specialise in training on one – Legionella.

For convenience and economy of valuable employees’ time, we offer courses relative to levels of responsibility and experience. This in turn produces better results from the course, achieving a higher competency for the Site/Company regarding the control of Legionella, which has unknowingly built up a reputation of being a complicated subject.

Level 1 – Online Training (approved by RoSPA)

Cost: From £29+VAT Per Person
Duration: 3hrs (approx) available online with a valid licence

A course approved by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, ideal for any employer or members of staff who are involved with routine tasks, logging results, cleaning or disinfecting showerheads or tanks, or other elements of management and control of Legionella onsite. The course can be completed in stages, remotely. Clients who take Water Management Contracts are issued with 2 free course licences.

Level 2 – Awareness Training (Free)

Cost: Free to NHS, small businesses and public schools
Duration: 6hrs (approx) available throughout the year

Specifically aimed at Facilities Managers, Responsible Managers and Duty Holders who either have never attended any Legionella Training, or just feel that they need a refresher. During the course, the depth of information reaches the very top level and explains the elements necessary to assemble an effective Legionella Control Program.

The course also suits Facility Managers, School Caretakers, Residential Care Home Managers, Student Accommodation Provider Management, Dentists, NHS & Private Medical Practice Managers, Head of Sports Grounds, Agriculture management providing food/drink, Hoteliers & Leisure Centre Management.

Level 3 – City & Guilds Certified Training Course

Cost: From £249+VAT Per Person
Duration: 1 Day – available on request

This course, relevant to sector, is designed for the Duty Holder or Appointed Competent Person(s) responsible for the control of legionella bacteria within water systems whom specifically wish to enhance their understanding and knowledge of duties, responsibilities and best practices to the highest level.

• City & Guilds Approved Certificate.

Level 4 – Bespoke Training

Cost: POA
Duration: As Agreed

This training facility is completely tailored uniquely for each client. Many have used the facility as part of introducing new Health & Safety procedures at the workplace, or if there has been a considerable change in staff/management, or if there has been a recent outbreak of Legionella.

A pre-assessment meeting is required to ascertain the current schemes of control, which water assets employees use, what the objectives are the course are, status of the current Risk Assessment. It offers complete flexibility and convenience to your timetable, is of particular interest to companies that use/service cooling towers, offer spas or frequent showers, Industries that use aerosol water, Local Councils and large NHS sites.

This course, tailored to suit, provides the ultimate Legionella training available on the market.
